Mego Clifford Giant Gigantor Robot - Hong Kong Plastic
Very rare, 17" inches tall, a very big 1970s Made in Hong Kong plastic robot. This was made by Mego and the case of mine here was marketed by Clifford as per the affixed label on the box. The Giant Robot shown followed the Gigantor Robot but with a different head design. Very delicate plastic easily broken no doubt by the new child owner and not particularly handsome which could account for its rarity today. Giant robot would appear to based on the Made in Japan Horikawa Super Space Giant Robot with identical actions. Walks, stops, chest doors open with rat a tat machine guns firing, then turns round and walks back to where it came from. Powered by 3 x D cells. The head has similarities to the Ideal Zeroids Zintar Robot - You may have noticed the box with mine shown is in bad shape, better than no box I suppose!!
