See the previous item for a fuller description. This is the early 1950's/60's screwed together Space Outlaw Atomic Pistol. The finish on this is crisper due to the zinc alloy lacking the thicker chrome plated coating of the later version, clearly not so glossy and shiny as the later version, more of a sheen than a chrome appearance. Note the screws around the stock which are rivets on later ones, also the red folded down front sight. Another difference I have noticed is the recoil barrel action, on this early version the whole of the barrel can be seen moving, on the later version only the front part can be seen recoiling as the rear part moves inside an outer static tube, clearly a minor redesign for whatever reason. This first version is very rare to find, especially in complete unbroken condition. On 30th September 1986 the B.C.M Co. (DERBY) LTD Trading Address Goodsmoor Road, Sunnyhill, Derby, DE23 7NJ. was struck off the register under 652 of the Companies Act 1985 and dissolved by notice in the London Gazette.
